Lynette Skynyrd is the world's only all-female trybute to Lynyrd Skynyrd. Out of "Southern" California, this band of mega-talented female musicians expresses the unconquered spirit of working people everywhere. Lynette captures the essence of Skynyrd, tapping into those halcyon days when rock was experienced with all the senses. If the past is indeed a prologue to their musical journey, then Lynette Skynyrd is nothing less than timeless. In December of 2011, Lynette was invited to play a private party for Lynyrd Skynyrd themselves at Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer at the Excalibur in Las Vegas for their grand opening. Needless to say, if the real deal is requesting Lynette to play, imagine how actual Skynyrd fans react to an all-female version of the kings of southern rock. Well, the response is incredible. Both Skynyrd fans and girl-band enthusiasts love Lynette Skynyrd.

Back when the Ronnie & the boys were making demos for MCA, a very rough living room recording of a song called 'Cottonmouth Country' didn't make the cut for "Second Helping". On first listen to the original, it is clear they were on to something. Unfortunately, the song was never finished. RVZ comes in at the end, mimicking a missing keyboard solo then finally yells "Cut, cut, cut".
